Overview: A 10-pattern surface design collection rooted in the textures and tones of coastal Hawaiian life — sand, salt, waves, tide pools, vintage shell walks, and the particular magic of a child's first year by the sea. Each pattern available in two colorways: Midnight Reef, a moodier, deep-toned palette, and Cotton Coral, lighter and sun-drenched.
The Story: The collection takes its name from the meaning of a son's name — coming from water. From just a week old, the beach became part of his world. These patterns are that first year made repeatable: the tidepool dreams, the bold wave crashes, the plaid of sun-faded beach towels, the shells Tutu saved. A celebration of family, nature, and new beginnings.
The Work: Ten hand-drawn patterns developed with painterly textures and illustrated motifs — Wave Warp, Mist & Motion, Kini Kini, Rustic Plaid, Fin Dance, Beach Bits, Tutu's Shells, Coastal Curl, Tidepool Reverie, and Ink Tide. Each pattern was designed for versatility across surfwear, kids apparel, and creative lifestyle goods, with dual colorways expanding the commercial range of the collection.
